Fatimah (SA): The Noble Branch of the Pure Tree

Fatimah (SA): The Noble Branch of the Pure Tree

Allah, the Exalted, says in the Holy Qur’an:

“Have you not seen how Allah presents a parable: a goodly word is like a goodly tree, whose root is firm and whose branches reach the sky?”
(Surah Ibrahim, Verse 24)

It has been narrated from Imam al-Baqir (AS) that he said:
“In this verse, the ‘tree’ refers to the Noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW); its ‘trunk’ is Ali (AS); its ‘fruits’ are Imam Hasan (AS) and Imam Husayn (AS); its ‘main branch’ is Fatimah al-Zahra (SA); and its secondary and minor branches are the Infallible Imams (AS).”
(Shawahid al-Tanzil, al-Hakim al-Hasakani, Vol. 1, p. 311; Bihar al-Anwar, al-Majlisi, Vol. 24, p. 139)
