Fatimah (SA): The Means of Intercession for Repentance
Fatimah (SA): The Means of Intercession for Repentance
In the Holy Qur’an, it is mentioned regarding Adam (AS) and Hawwa (AS) that after Hawwa (AS) ate from the fruit that Allah had forbidden, Allah expelled them from Paradise. At that moment, Adam (AS) and Hawwa (AS) repented through certain words, and their repentance was accepted:
“Then Adam received from his Lord some words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, He is the Ever-Accepting of repentance, the Most Merciful.” (Al-Baqarah, verse 37)
Regarding this verse, Ibn Abbas narrates:
“I asked the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), ‘What words did Adam (AS) receive?’ The Prophet (PBUH) replied: ‘He supplicated to Allah saying, ‘O my Lord! Accept my repentance for the sake of Muhammad (PBUH), Ali (AS), Fatimah (SA), Hasan (AS), and Husayn (AS).’”
(Yanabi‘ al-Mawaddah, vol. 1, p. 112; Al-Tara’if by Ibn Tawus, p. 112, hadith 166; Al-Durr al-Manthur by Al-Suyuti, vol. 1, p. 19)
Thus, it becomes evident that seeking intercession through the Pure Five (Panjatan Pak) in repentance and supplication holds immense efficacy in the Divine Court—and among these noble personalities is the Princess of the Universe, Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (SA), who holds a central position.
