Fatimah: The Center of Divine Light and Guidance

The Noble Qur’an describes Almighty God as “the Light of the heavens and the earth” and says:

“Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth.” (Surah An-Nur, verse 35)

This Divine Light is not confined; rather, it flows through certain homes—those about which Allah says: “In houses Allah has allowed to be raised and wherein His Name is celebrated; He is glorified therein, morning and evening,

.” (Surah An-Nur, verse 36)

These homes are inhabited by men:

by men whom neither trade nor bargaining distracts from the remembrance of Allah and the maintenance of prayer and the giving of zakat. They are fearful of a day wherein the hearts and the sights will be transformed,

(Surah An-Nur, verse 37)

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) was once asked about these verses: “Which homes are these?”
He replied: “The homes of the Prophets.”

Then Abu Bakr stood up and asked:
“O Messenger of Allah! Does the home of Fatimah (peace be upon her) and Ali (peace be upon him) also fall under this verse?”

The Messenger of Allah answered:
“Yes—indeed, it is the best among them.”
(Al-Kashf wa al-Bayan by Tha‘labi, vol. 7, p. 107; Bihar al-Anwar by al-Majlisi, vol. 23, p. 262)

Therefore, according to the Qur’an and authentic tradition, the home of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) is not an ordinary dwelling—it is a luminous and spiritual center from which Divine guidance radiates.

Whoever draws near to this home does not merely approach a Prophet’s family; rather, they draw near to a source of true knowledge, divine guidance, and recognition of reality. This is a home where the remembrance of Allah never fades from daily life—hence, Divine Light continuously manifests and endures within it.

Now, anyone who claims to receive Divine guidance from anywhere other than this home is himself misled and astray—and without doubt, he will also lead others into misguidance and deviation.

For this very reason, anyone who has studied the personality of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) with fairness and thoroughness—and researched her life and station—has surely found the path of true guidance.
