Fatimah (AS): The Criterion of Divine Test

Fatimah (AS): The Criterion of Divine Test

In verses 35–36 of Surah Al-Muddaththir, Allah declares:
“Indeed, it is one of the great events—a warning to all humanity.”

Commentaries on this verse explain that on the Day of Judgment, humanity will face one of the greatest divine trials, with multiple dimensions—one of which is Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (AS).
As Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (AS) stated:
“Indeed, it is one of the great events—a warning to all humanity.” He said: “This refers to Fatimah (AS).”
(Bihar al-Anwar, al-Majlisi, vol. 24, p. 331; Tafsir al-Qummi, vol. 2, p. 396)

Thus, it becomes clear that Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (AS) is the embodiment of “al-kubr”—one of the momentous matters of the Hereafter—and that she is a noble personality about whom all people will be questioned on the Day of Judgment.

It should also be noted that, according to another narration, “Wilayah” (divine guardianship) is likewise counted among “al-kubr”—the great issues of the Day of Resurrection.
