On the occasion of the blessed birth of Imam Mahdi (AS), the BONYAD AKHTAR TABAN a luminous gathering and a scholarly competition
Qom City – Under the BONYAD AKHTAR TABAN, a soul-stirring and joyous Mawlid gathering was arranged to celebrate the sacred occasion of the blessed birth of Imam Mahdi (AS). Alongside this, a scholarly and cultural competition was also held for the devotees of Imam al-Asr (AS).
The gathering was attended by respected scholars and students from the land of Qom, and esteemed poets presented poetic tributes in praise and admiration of Imam Mahdi (AS).
During the gathering, the blessed life of Imam Hujjat ibn al-Hasan al-Askari (AS), his era of occultation, the true meaning of awaiting his reappearance, and the duties of the lovers of Imam Mahdi (AS) during the period of occultation were highlighted. In their poems, the poets emphasized that awaiting Imam Mahdi (AS) is not merely an emotional act but an active and positive endeavor, which includes self-improvement, societal reform, and the enhancement of knowledge and action.
Following a beautiful session of Naat and Manqabat recitations, a scholarly competition titled “Proof of the Existence of Imam Sahib al-Asr (AS)” was held, where participants of different ages answered questions related to the biography, occultation, reappearance, and the concept of awaiting Imam Mahdi (AS), as well as the personality of Imam Mahdi (AS) from the perspective of the Ahl al-Sunnah. These questions were prepared based on a scholarly article by Allama Saeed Akhtar Rizvi (may Allah elevate his status).
Participants who provided correct answers in the competition were rewarded with prizes.
